Carlos Ramirez
Founder/Training Director
Carlos Ramirez is a professional dog trainer with extensive experience in animal psychology and behavior. Born in Puerto Rico and a former athlete at The Ohio State University, Carlos’s journey into dog training stems from a lifelong passion for understanding canine behavior and helping families create strong, positive relationships with their pets.
CRK9’s founder and Training Director began his journey in animal behavior while growing up on a Paso Fino horse farm in Puerto Rico. As a skilled horse trainer, he developed a deep understanding of animal behavior and communication, which he later transitioned into the field of dog training. This unique background makes CRK9 exceptionally well-suited to address the needs of the equestrian community, fostering harmonious relationships between horses and dogs. The founder’s expertise ensures that CRK9 can provide tailored training programs that respect and enhance the dynamics of equestrian environments.
After years of collaborating with top professionals in the field, Carlos developed his expertise in practical training techniques and effective behavioral solutions. As the founder of CRK9 in Ocala, FL, Carlos focuses on helping pet owners address common challenges such as obedience, leash pulling, aggression, and unwanted behaviors.
Carlos’s training philosophy blends science-based methods with a compassionate approach, ensuring dogs and their families achieve lasting success. His ability to communicate with both pets and their owners has made him a trusted resource in the community for all things dog training.
When he’s not working with dogs, Carlos enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and continuing to learn about advancements in canine behavior and training techniques.
Alyse Ramirez
Co-Founder/Director of Operations
Alyse Ramirez is the co-founder of CRK9, which she established with her husband Carlos in 2018. With over a decade of experience in the veterinary field and animal behavior, Alyse brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work. As a former vet tech, she has cared for and rehabilitated countless animals, including fostering and raising cats and dogs.
At CRK9, Alyse is the organizational powerhouse, ensuring smooth operations while also guiding pet owners toward building better relationships with their furry companions. She is passionate about educating owners on proper nutrition, enrichment, and training to create happy, balanced pets.
When she’s not working behind the scenes or consulting with clients, Alyse enjoys spending time with her family and her own pets, fostering a home full of love and learning.
